WHEN THE INTERNET TAKES A BREAK

The connection can wait. Your customers shouldn’t.

Set up offline POS before you need it. Make bills using saved products, keep sales on your device, and send them to your business records when you reconnect.

For businesses in Pakistan. Check features and limits on your plan.

Prepared online. Useful offline. Clear when you reconnect.

A customer is ready to pay, but the internet has stopped working. You should not have to start writing the same bill again on paper. invo.pk’s offline billing uses the product information already saved on your device, so a prepared counter can keep recording sales during a connection problem.

HOW IT WORKS

A clearer way to handle offline pos

  1. 01

    Prepare while connected

Confirm offline POS is available and enabled for your business; ask the team if it is not. Open POS for the branch you use, let its product information download, and check that the offline catalogue is ready. Do this on each device that needs to keep billing.

  2. 02

Keep a record during the outage

Use the saved catalogue to make a bill. The sale stays in that device’s pending-sales list. An offline receipt uses a temporary reference rather than pretending that the server has already issued the final invoice number.

  3. 03

    Reconnect and check pending sales

Once the connection returns, the app attempts to send saved sales to the server. Check the pending-sales list: a completed sync and a failed sale are not the same thing. If a record needs attention, review its message before retrying or asking for help.

THE EVERYDAY DETAILS

What stays useful when the signal disappears

A familiar billing screen

Work with products already available in the local catalogue, instead of learning a second billing tool. Saved prices and settings help build the bill, but changes made elsewhere will not appear until the device receives fresh information.

Sales with a visible status

A pending record tells you that the sale is saved locally, not yet confirmed in your online accounts. After successful sync, it can be matched to its final invoice. This makes it easier to explain an offline receipt and check that nothing was missed.

One device, one saved queue

Each counter keeps its own unsynced sales. Another phone or computer does not automatically hold a copy of that queue. Keep the original device available and allow its sales to finish syncing before changing browsers or clearing stored data.

A FAMILIAR SITUATION

A short outage, without losing the record

Imagine three customers pay while your connection is down. The prepared device records three pending sales. When you reconnect, check all three statuses instead of entering those bills a second time. The illustration shows the sequence, not a promise that every sync will succeed immediately.

Saved on the device is not the same as synced to the business.

BEFORE YOU START

Check these before your first offline sale

  • Offline POS is included and switched on for your business.
  • The correct branch’s catalogue is ready on this device.
  • Your receipt printer is configured if you need paper receipts.
  • Staff know where to check pending and failed sales.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Offline POS, explained simply

Can I start using invo.pk for the first time without internet?

No. Sign in, confirm offline POS is enabled for your business and prepare the correct branch’s catalogue while connected. A device that has never downloaded the required information is not ready for offline billing.

Will the same pending sales appear on another device?

Unsynced sales are stored on the device and browser that recorded them. Keep that device available until they sync successfully. Do not clear browser storage or assume a second device has a backup of the queue.

Does an offline receipt have a final invoice number?

It uses a temporary offline reference. The server issues the final invoice after successfully accepting the sale. Check the pending-sales list to confirm the outcome after reconnecting.

Is offline stock always up to date?

No. The device works from saved information and cannot see every change made at other counters while disconnected. Reconnect to refresh information and review stock differences after sales sync.
