TRUST YOUR TEAM. KEEP ACCESS CLEAR.

The right tools for the person doing the job.

A cashier needs to make bills. A manager needs to manage the branch. Give each person their own login and a role that fits their responsibility.

For businesses in Pakistan. Check features and limits on your plan.

Clear responsibilities, without handing everyone the owner’s login.

Sharing one admin login may feel quicker on the first day. Later, it becomes difficult to tell who changed a record, why a bill was cancelled or who should have access to financial information. invo.pk separates cashier, branch manager and admin roles so your team can work without every account having the same reach.

HOW IT WORKS

A clearer way to handle staff access & permissions

  1. 01

    Start with separate staff accounts

Create an account for each staff member who needs access, within your plan’s user allowance. Choose their role and branch deliberately. Keep owner-level admin access for people who actually manage the wider business.

  2. 02

    Review sensitive POS choices

Check the available settings for cashier discounts, price changes and other supported billing permissions. Agree on the business rule before enabling an option. These settings do not mean every action can be customised independently for every individual.

  3. 03

Keep access current as duties change

Review staff access when someone moves branch, changes responsibility or leaves the team. Use authorised management accounts for returns and voids rather than sharing a manager password so a cashier can bypass their role.

THE EVERYDAY DETAILS

Three roles, with different responsibilities

Cashier: the everyday counter

Cashiers focus on billing and the tasks permitted to their role. They do not receive the same financial-reporting or management access as managers and admins. Review the POS permission settings before deciding how much discretion the counter should have.

Branch manager: their location

Managers can handle supported branch-management tasks, including products, stock, customers and reports within their permitted scope. Returns and sale voids require an authorised management role rather than a cashier account.

Admin: the wider business

Admins manage the business-level setup and broader access. Keep this role limited to the right people. An admin login is not a convenient replacement for setting up cashier accounts, especially when several locations are operating.

A FAMILIAR SITUATION

A cancelled bill should not require a shared password

A cashier spots a sale that needs to be voided. The authorised manager reviews it and uses their own account to perform the permitted action. The cashier can continue their normal work without receiving the manager’s credentials or blanket access to financial pages.

Give a person the access their job needs, not the access that is easiest to share.

BEFORE YOU START

A simple access review for your business

  • Use individual logins instead of a shared admin account.
  • Check role and branch assignment for every active staff member.
  • Review discount and price-change options before enabling them.
  • Revisit access whenever a person’s duties change.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Staff access & permissions, explained simply

Should all staff sign in with the owner’s account?

No. Separate staff accounts keep responsibilities clearer and avoid giving every cashier admin-level access. Assign the role and branch that match the person’s actual work.

Can cashiers access the same reports as managers?

Cashier accounts do not have the same reporting and financial access as admin or branch-manager accounts. Choose a management role only when that responsibility is part of the person’s job.

Can I design a different permission for every individual action?

The system uses defined roles plus supported POS permission settings. Do not assume a fully custom per-user permission builder. Ask the team about a specific requirement before choosing your setup.
