How installments are calculated
For an interest‑bearing plan, the monthly installment (EMI) is P × r × (1+r)n ÷ ((1+r)n − 1), where r is the monthly rate (annual ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of months. For a 0% (interest‑free) plan it's simply the amount divided by the number of months.

Frequently asked questions
How is a monthly installment (EMI) calculated?
EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n ÷ ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of months. With 0% interest it is simply the amount ÷ months.
What is the total amount and interest?
Total payable = monthly installment × number of months. Total interest = total payable − the original amount.
Can I use this for selling on installments?
Yes — enter the price as the amount, the markup you charge as an annual rate (or 0% for interest-free), and the number of months to see the monthly plan and total.
